This is a collection of the most well-known urban legends that sprang out during Nicolaie Ceausescu's dictatorial regime, the so-called 'Golden Age' of Romanian history. The Communist period altered people's minds and values but it also brought them together. The script was written by Cristian Mungiu and shot by five different directors, including Mungiu himself. My character, the waitress, appears in the third part, The Legend of the Chicken Driver. The film competed in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.

4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days tells the story of two students who try to arrange an illegal abortion during the Communist period in Romania. It portrays life under a repressive regime and the soul-destroying compromises one ought to make to survive it. Mihaela, my character, is an illegal provider of different goods. Written and directed by Cristian Mungiu, the film won the Palme d'Or and the FIPRESCI Award at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.

Based on a true fact, that happened during the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999, this film tells the story of a train transporting American radar equipment and its soldiers, who got stuck in a Romanian village. This becomes the biggest event ever lived by the villagers and they try to mingle their lives with the more exciting life of their 'visitors'. My character is a young girl who thinks that she's got a chance to live the 'American Dream' by falling for a NATO soldier, who turns out to be a Romanian soldier dressed up in a NATO uniform. Directed by Cristian Nemescu, the film won Un Certain Regard at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.

This gothic horror movie features two film-within-films, shot in very different manners. It is the story
of a horror film maker whose pregnant wife was murdered back in the 1960s by a gang of hippy psychopaths. Many years later he makes a come-back and invites some actors at his mansion for an 'audition'. Thus, he gets to watch their entire stay, by filming them with hidden cameras linked to a website. My character is one of the hippy psychopaths. British director Bernard Rose is most famous for his urban horror film Candyman and Paperhouse.

He dreams something he cannot remember and while trying to stay "awake", he's inevitably beginning to feel "lost", as if in a dream. I play Mirabela, a girl who's about to get married. Directed by Corneliu Porumboiu, the film won the Best Romanian Film at TIFF (Transilvania International Film Festival) 2004.

In this play, Matei Visniec brings together the characters of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov's classics, such as Uncle Vanya, The Seagull, Three Sisters and The Cherry Orchard. Visniec sees these personages as doomed to live their drama for the eternity, in a strange place, where time is rewinded over and over again. They have no hope but to desperately cling to their creator: Chekhov himself. I performed Irina Sergeyevna Prozorova, the youngest of the Three Sisters.
